212: Why Happiness Happens When You’re Least Expecting It  (Part 2)

Throughout 2023, I have had the privilege of hosting incredible guests from around the world, and today, in our final episode of the year, I want to share with you five powerful clips from past episodes that can help you cultivate more happiness in your life.

In episode 200, I had the pleasure of interviewing Johnny, a remarkable individual who has personally helped me reflect on the power of gratitude. Johnny beautifully pointed out that all problems in the universe stem from desire or wanting, which is the opposite of having. By embracing gratitude for the things we already have in our lives, we can witness a gradual change, leading to abundance, happiness, and alignment.

Our guest Navid, a highly successful entrepreneur, shared his daily practice of harnessing the power of breath during episode 201. By simply taking 30 seconds each morning to sit at the edge of his bed and practice intentional breathing, Navid sets his mindset and energy for the day. This small yet impactful practice has helped him navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship and find more joy in his life.

In episode 204, our guest Sha introduced us to the power of a gratitude journal. By listing five things to be grateful for each day, even if they seem small or insignificant, Sha taught us the importance of intentionally seeking gratitude in our lives. This practice helps us reframe challenging moments and infuse our days with positivity and appreciation.

Dr. Tim Lewis, in episode 206, enlightened us about the transformative power of nature. He encouraged us to get out and move, to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the natural world. By cultivating a sense of awe and gratitude for the everyday wonders around us, such as a hot shower or a good cup of coffee, we can increase our happiness and overall well-being.

Our final clip, from episode 207, features DJ, who shared a valuable practice he incorporates into his daily routine. Before going to bed each night, DJ writes down three gains he experienced throughout the day. These gains can be simple accomplishments or moments of joy. By consciously acknowledging and celebrating these gains, we train our minds to focus on the positive aspects of our lives.

As we close our last episode of 2023, I want to share with you my own insight on finding happiness: living life on your own terms. Throughout the years of hosting this podcast, I have learned that no one else's opinions or judgments should dictate your choices. Trust your own intuition and make decisions that align with your values and desires, for it is in living authentically that true happiness emerges.

Thank you for joining me on this incredible journey of growth and happiness. I am so grateful for each and every one of you who has tuned in, shared the episodes, and left ratings and reviews. Together, we can continue spreading the message of happiness and make a positive impact on millions of lives. Remember, happiness happens when you least expect it, so keep seeking, growing, and embracing the beauty of life.
